My name is Kiersten Adele David and I will be graduating with my BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in May of 2025! I am originally from Chelsea Alabama and fell in love with performing arts when I was in kindergarten. My parents initially noticed my love towards specifically music and storytelling after we lost my sister to a congenital heart defect. I had a hard time conveying such big emotions as well as focusing and retaining the things I was learning in school but when I was able to express my emotions through songs or telling stories I began to flourish both emotionally and academically. I then spent 9 years in Red Mountain Theatre’s Performing Ensembles where I was surrounded and nurtured by the most amazing educational directors and continued to bloom both as a performer and as a leader! I want to create spaces and tell stories that encourage growth in a healthy manner. I believe the magic of storytelling is what can heal a community and I am dedicated towards instilling this belief in all the work I do as an artist.
